Spring break :)
Sunday, October 11, 2009
Spring break's a long time ago but I never got around to blog what happened during spring break.
Its officially spring but its as cold as winter -.- Seriously Melbourne has the most erratic weather. It has been average of 15 degrees for the past few days sigh so cold. So yes, during our spring break, we decided to visit Adelaide. We were there for the weekend only and there were still many places we didnt get to visit. We boarded our plane at 6.30am on Friday and it takes an hour to get to the airport from Berwick so all of us left Berwick at 4am. All cranky and sleepy cause just finish assignment.
From our plane - Jet Star.

This is what Henn Drik looks like when he just finish his assignment and have not slept for the whole night.
It takes bout 1 hour and 10 mins to Adelaide but our flight was delayed for 20 mins cause of traffic congestion (Hmm I didnt know there was traffic jam in the air too). I thought Melbourne's airport was small but Adelaide's airport is even smaller!

The excited ones
We then headed to the city to collect our rented cars and cause we can only check in to the apartment at 2pm, we headed to Barossa Valley first.

Deciding what to do outside the apartment we're suppose to stay.
It takes about an hour to get to Barossa Valley. Since Choong Fu or Sherman is driving, Jannifer and I manage to catch a few mins of sleep before lunch.

At Gawler, a suburb on the way to Barossa Valley.
We finally reached Barossa Valley about 12ish and its really a challenge to find the wineries. We had so many wrong turnings and its really muddy cause it has been raining the whole day.

Outside Chateau Barossa
Uh I dont remember the name of the next winery we visited. I know it looked really nice with the pretty steps and the fountain.

A successful jump shot lol

A red Corolla and a silver Swift.

The passengers inside the Swift.
The next one we visited was Jacob's Creek. They have one of the best Moscato wine ♥

Waiting to test the wine.

Awww Fufu boy is so happy with his purchase
There are a few more wineries we visited but the last one I visited was Grant Burge and I got too sleepy to visit the others so we just slept in the car lol. I sleep at every opportunity I get haha.
We reached the city about 6ish to 7 and finally checked in to the apartment. The apartment is super nice! It felt as though I am staying in a hotel and its really quite big too.
Unfortunately, I was not staying there. I went to put up a night with my cousins. It has been um at least 2 years since I saw them. Their apartment is just above Rundle Mall. Oh how nice if I was just living above a mall *sigh* Did lots of catching up :)
This is Day 1 at Adelaide. Day 2 will be up soon!

Flu bug
Thursday, September 17, 2009
Yes I've caught the flu bug unfortunately :( Oh blocked nose and sexay voice..
Its been a really gloomy day today. Raining since last night and throughout the whole day but I think it has stop now. The perfect weather to sleep *snuggle under blanket* Well, on a brighter note, yesterday was Chadstone sales :) Chadstone VIP sales is when the whole mall goes on sales for just one day from 9am till 10pm. And FYI, Chadstone is the biggest mall in Australia. Uh people tell me this so I am not really sure if its the biggest mall in Australia but oh boy it is big. I left my apartment around 11.40am and I came back like nearly 12 hours later at 10.30pm. The mall is so big that I dont feel the time passing so fast even though we spend like average of 25 minutes in the shopes we go inside. Hmm and I think we should leave out the amount of $$ I spent but its definitely less than Sherman's. Hah! He's always the one who keep saying that I spend too much hmph.I think the most fun store we went to was this - Build-a-Bear Workshop.
And who's going home? This cute pilot teddy is going back to apartment A023 :) It even have a birth certificate! The process is quite cool eh. After filling the teddy with um cotton, they will put a heart inside before sewing it up. And before they put the heart inside, they will ask you to make a wish. Gosh its like making a wish on my birthday lol. The best part of the whole process is chooing the bear's outfit. We tried sailor uniform, tuxedo, hoodie with jeans, police uniform and many more but the best fit was the pilot's.
p/s: Its Sherry's birthday tomorrow :) Happy be-early birthday! Sorry couldnt be there for your birthday but I'll send my love from Melb <3

Assignments after assignments, tests after tests. It can never seem to stop coming :(
And I think that law assignments are the worst of the worst. Omg there is another law subject next year -.-
Anyway, I've been under 'house arrest' for nearly two weeks. Wake up, tutorial, lectures, come back to apartment. See no life how bad is that. Well, all of these not-going-out will be paid off soon! I'll be off the Adelaide during my mid-sem break :)
Ooh yes Monash International Ball. It was held last month at Albert Park Hotel. It wasnt the greatest ball but nonetheless, I had fun :)
Yup, I should get back to my assignment now. Superannuation funds anyone?

10 things that I did since I came back:
1. Went to Healsville Sanctury. It was a really random trip. The travelling time was nearly 4 hours from Berwick. I can travel halfway back to Malaysia! Nonetheless, the koalas are really cute!
2. Studied for Cost Info exam and completing lots of tutorial homework. 3. Cooked Shepherd's Pie for the first time and it turned out not bad! Hoho cooking skills improving!
4. Bought new shoes :) 5. Visited the new Lindt Cafe at Colins Street and the best part is the cafe is just next to Tiffanys! <3 6. Studied more for my exam *burried head inside Management Accounting textbook* 7. Met up with my high school friend, which I have not met her for um god knows how many years :) 8. Sat for Cost Info exam. 9. Went to Seven.

10. Received the first rose from Sherman lol <3
These things are in random order and its is a few of the many things I did. I really want to write a proper post but currently, I am on a Desperate Housewives and Friends marathon as well as trying to prepare for my presentation on Monday and my assignment due on Wednesday. So long for now! xx

Hmm why not drive two weeks ago? Cause why wanna drive when there is someone to drive me around? Its also cause I really hate driving manual car -.- I just dont understand why my parents wouldnt allow me to drive the auto. My dad says until I master the manual car, thats the only car I can drive aduhai. Anyhoo, I decided to do a tag that Sherryna tagged me on Facebook. Its been an awful long time since I opened blogger.com. Lots of lazy juice and I think cause I didnt have much to blog about.
Anyway, it has been nearly 2 weeks since I got back and I am kinda heavy hearted to leave my comfy bed at home :( Its so cold back in Melbourne and when you go out, you gotta wear thick jackets and boots. Since I got back, I had too much free time that I watched Sex and The City series rerun, American Idol, 8 Simple Rules and Friends. No wonder my eye sight went from bad to worse -.- Oh and I read Breaking Dawn again *heart melts* Somehow, in between the too much free time, I got thinking of what am I going to do after I graduate. It will be at least another one and a half year more till I graduate and I wonder what the future holds for me. Oh how random. I am excited to find out cause working life would be really interesting and challenging but I dont know if I am cut out for it. What if I fail to get a job? What if I do not meet the criteria of the company? So many questions! And yet, I do not want to stop being a student cause I really like being a student. Being a student is a really exciting occupation. Yes, you do not get paid studying and working so hard but at the end of the day, when you get first class honour, all your hard work and studying will be paid off. Plus, where will you get a long stretch of holiday? Your employer would not give you a three month break for nothing, is he? So yes, I am sad that time passed so fast and my days of being a student is numbered :( Honestly, Semester 1 of 2009 passed in a blink of an eye. When I was going to the airport to come home, I was telling Candee that I felt like I have just reached here. I still remember the time when I step foot into my apartment and its all empty. And now its filled with pots, pans and lots of food! I still remember meeting Henn Drik for the first time and we were talking about the people we know from my school. And now we are the best of friends :) Oh well, its just a thought *shurgs* Anyhoo, operation 'Surprise Grace' went well today :) :) I called Grace to check if she's at home with the reason that Sherman wants to see Furby haha. I bet she must be like 'This Sherman so mafan" lol.Oh, I realized that I havent really eaten Malaysian food. Its been all home cooked meal since I came back and I likey :) It feels so nice to have someone cooked for you and the food isnt instant. Hmm speaking of food, I think I better learn to cook and prolly bake too since I have an oven at my apartment. I think I hear my stomach making noises so I guess, its dinner time! Hopefully some yummeh mamak food when I meet up with my K2 classmates later :)
I love you baby ♥
p.s: Picture taken during Sherman's sister's wedding, explains the dress and suit.
p.s.s: Aduhai fatness -.- blame the Australian food.
p.s.s.s: Miss Sherryna Nadia! I havent met you yet and I am going back in 10 days time!

I think I miss the hot weather -.- Its freaking 10 degrees here and the wind is as strong as the speed of a car! To make it worst, its raining. So its like super duper colddddddd :(
I miss Malaysian food :( Nasi lemak, roti planta, char kuey teow, teh-o ais limau and so so many more. Well, they do have char kuey teow here but it doesnt taste as nice as the ones we find back home. Its like chinese style of frying but using western ingredients. It taste different.
I miss my church back home too. So far I've been to 3 churches here but I still like CBC best. Not to small and comfy.. Oh! And back in Malaysia, we have holy communion every first Sunday of the month but they have it nearly every week here! Oh well.
Well, Australia's been pretty okay except that idoitic guy in a freaking red cape stole my fries at McDonolds. Now you know what do teenagers in Australia do when they are free - wear a red cape and steal people's fries. Such nonsense. Exams are coming soon emoness. Its winter and its cold and its exam time :( Now, I appreciate Malaysia's hot weather. Oh, and my fingers get cold really fast and it will be really hard to write. At least I have one thing to look forward to after exams. I am going home :) for at least 3 weeks! Ooh yes! Yesterday, I went for my first AFL game! AFL is Australian Football League. Its really different from football like the ball they use is not round, which is really odd cause whenever they want to catch the ball, it bounces again. And their goal is not those normal football goals, theirs are just poles! If they score in the middle one, they gain 6 points, othewise its just one point. It took me long enough to understand the game.

Go Demons! It was between Melbourne FC and Adelaide Crows.
After the AFL game, we went to Docklands to celebrate Choong Fu's and Melvin's be-early brithday. We went to this restaurant called Medici. Their seafood risotto is really nice! :)

Yummeh seafood risotto

Choong Fu's and Melvin's birthday cake. Super good and worth it!
Anyway, during the Easter break, we went to Great Ocean Road and Sovereign Hill. Both really nice places :)

A few of the apostles

Sovereign Hill
Whoa a really long post and I think the next one will be in a few weeks time cause I will end up getting really lazy to blog. Mid-sem tests next week - wish me luck!

Hello again :)
Its been a severely long time since I updated my blog. Busy busy! Anyway its been about one week and one day since I arrived at Melbourne. It was pretty hectic for the past one week with moving in and orientation programs. The place here is pretty decent but sigh I still find it a little kampung. Well, there are advantages and disadvantages like always. Anyways here is a sneak peak at my room.
Desk and shelves

My bed..sorry its a little messy haha We have a really nice kitchen with um an electric stove that is damn pissing off. We have to start cooking the food a little earlier cause it takes a long time for the pan to heat up. Argh so frustrating!
Ta dah! You can see cows from Sherman's room.
With Henn Drik and Jannifer Finally on Thursday we went to the city. Omg I really miss being in a city. Berwick is totally different from KL. For me, it feels like I am going back to Ipoh during Chinese New Year. Gosh I heart heart Melbourne city. Berwick International Student Association (BISA) organized a trip to the city and we went to Eureka Tower, which is the tallest building in Melbourne, which allows you to see round Melbourne. We manage to spot the tennis court, which hosted the Australian Open!
Eureka Tower

Say cheese!

From the top of the tower. We traveled 88 floors to reach the top.
With Melisa and Han

I think this is so cool they manage to build the whole area again on lego.

We're going down down down.

Flinders Station, where we are suppose to meet Jiali with our combo meals.
Along um the Melbourne River I guess. Its just outside Flinders Station. I really have no idea what is the name of the river. They even have ferry rides!

Look there's PWC!
Federation Square

With Melisa
I got so excited with I saw this and I was like I hafta show Florence! And guess what? There is another senior here from Hong Kong named Florence too!
After trillion years, I finally saw Miss Woo Jia Li! Gawd I missed her so muchhh! <3

In the tram to DFO (Direct Factory Outlet).
Opps was too busy catching up with Jia Li and shopping to take picture of DFO. Its a really nice place with lots of shops!
I shall not disclose what I bought that day. *zips mouth*
And yesterday we went to the city again and omg the train ride is seriously killing. One hour from Berwick to Melbourne Central -.-

Guess where is this? They serve the best chocolate drinks and deserts!

Um dont remember the name but it looks pretty yummy!

The most sinful food I've eaten..chocolate souffle

Jia Li love
Lastly, my results of my shopping :)

Both dresses cost $25! Which is about RM60 for both dresses.

Gorgeous denim wedges!
There is also a fleace baby pink bath robe and Jay Jay's flip flops. The bath robe is soooo comfy and its pinkkk!
I will prolly be heading to the city for the weekend for my birthday with Jia Li and hopefully less shopping *cross fingers*
Anyway, I am going to Mcds for some food. Its time for tea now!
Toodles!

Is there any spell that could make shampoo and contact lense solution lighter?New place means changes. More independent and mature. New year new you
Monday, January 12, 2009
I've seen this 'New Year New You' slogan or saying on nearly most of the pamphlets and brochures I received and today I saw one on the Watson's brochure! Thats when I suddenly started pondering on this saying.
So what does this really mean?
I cant really figure it out though but I am siding one thought more than the other. I kinda have two thoughts on this - A) It means you start the new year with as completely new person such as having new gadgets, new clothes, etc, which makes you feel like a new person or B) It means you take the new year ahead of you to turn to be a better person?
Hey! Probably Mega Sales is always held at the end of the year so people can buy new things to prepare for then new year ahead of them. I think some people do think like that, not many but I bet there are a few out of the many millions of people on earth.
Its pretty obvious that I am siding the second thought more. Every year, I try to be a better person by sticking to my resolutions and unfortunately, its not easy. I was so busy at the last week of December and the first two weeks of January that I've forgotten to think about my resolutions.
Well, for this year, I only have two!
1. Spend more time with God. Yes, I admit that I am slacking on my devotions a litte cause after a long day out, I will be too tired and just doze off sigh. Hmm maybe I should do devotions in the morning instead of night. Maybe that will work out.
2. Study study study and stop procrastinating. God, that stupid habit never dies! I REALLY NEED TO STOP PROCRASTINATING and STUDYYY! Yes, thats right. Study hard!
I dont think these two are that hard right? Its only two so I doubt it'll be the most difficult task but sometimes the least difficult task becomes the one that you ignore.
Argh I am so sleepy that I feel that I am getting less coherent here. I just want to share my thoughts about this 'New year new you'.
Yup thats all for now. I better stop before the incoherency shows here or maybe it has already. Forgive me for the mumble jumble above. I had to wake up at 8.30am for church with only 4 hours sleep and I was out the whole day.
*Crawls to bed and give a huge yawn*
Nights! :)

A little too late
Thursday, January 8, 2009
Hello there :)
Happy new year even though its not so new already. The first week of school almost over! My sister and brother have been coming back from school with shitload of homework! Since school has started so are their tuitions and I have been driving them up and down from tuitions gosh! Poor brother who is only standard 4 has tuition from Monday till Thursday.
Besides, I've been busy myself too with medical checkup and ooh guess what? I've grew 2cm since the last time I measured my height, which I think is in form 5. Well, its not much but I still grew! My luggage now is filled with bed sheets, blanket, undergarments, clothes bought to bring over and jackets. My mum only allow me to bring maximum 2 pairs of heels, which is absolutely heartbreaking cause I have so many :(
Anyway, since I have uploaded some pictures, I might as well post it up.
My church had an youth award night, which was on the 27th of December 2008 (yes yes yes, I know its really late but I had no time to blog). Its just a night of fun and laughter where we award silly award to the youths like 'The most 'kan cheong' award of the year' and many many more silly ones.
The dinner was two-thumbs up! I think many youths had several servings lol. There were three types of lamb! First is lamb in Mediterranean style, Western style and lamb rack! *yums* Unfortunately, there is no picture of the food :(
Hmm I think I'll let the pictures do the talking now.

Time passed so fast that it seems like I've just updated my blog yesterday. Been a busy bee with my application and yes finally my accommodation is confirmed phew! Now, I am just waiting for my COE to arrive through snail mail.
Anyway, I've been hunting around for pretty and warm trench coat but all costs a fortune! And I have been eyeing on one GAP sweater but gosh its RM295 :( I always wanted that jacket but cant seem to find a reason to use it here and finally now I have a reason to use it, its so freaking expensive grr.
I've been meaning to post up some pictures from church but my camera's USB cable wants to play hide and seek and I cant find it till now. I guess I will be the next post.

trip down to south
Wednesday, December 3, 2008
I wanted to post this before I went to Genting but the lazy juice was overpowering the hardworking juice so yeah.
Anyway, remember I wanted to do a post about 'A moment with your kakiis'? I dug up my old pictures from college and school but found it to be unnecessary. Since I wanted to post about the Malacca and PD trip, so I thought why not make it the 'A moment with your kakiis' post too?
So here it is - A moment with my kakiis!
But before that, pay a visit to Kakiis.com! Its something like Facebook and Friendster too. I have not got the hang of it but clicking around to explore the webbie.
It was last Wednesday, when we - Rudra, Florence, Yuvha, Sherman and I decided to take a day and visit what's at the south, Malacca and Port Dickson.
We left Subang about 7.40am and with Rud driving at 160 km/h, we manage to reach Malacca around 9am. Our first stop was a shop which sells chicken rice ball!

Chicken rice balls, chicken and cabbage *yummy*
That was our breakfast before we head to Malacca's historical places. I have to admit something though. 18 years of living in Malaysia and frequent visits to Malacca, I have not been to any of Malacca's historial places so technically its my first time visiting these places on that day.
First stop - Stadhyus Church, A Famosa Fort and St. Paul Church
My kakiis - Yuvha and Florence.

Rudra, why so serious?

Happy happy tourist lol

Inside St. Paul Church

As you can see

Rudra looks like a body guard to them haha

On the cannon in front of A Famosa.

Took many before we achieved this one.

A Famosa Fort.

I love this the most! It looks like we are falling down but hanging on to each other.

The one and only group picture I have in my camera and Rud hafta be on the phone *shakes head*
Second stop - Lunch at The Geographer and one of the Ais Kacang shops at Jonker Street

Baba asam laksa

Ais kacang
There are more pictures on the food but its not in my camera. The food's really good and plus its cheap!
Third stop - Port Dickson's beach

Inside Rud's car

I think Fleur looks so cute here. Please dont kill me!
You may have noticed that I was not in the water with them cause Auntie Rose decided to visit me on the day I decided to go to the beach :(

This small boy was drawing 'I love you' and the wave came and swept it away. He got angry and threw sand at the sea! So cuteee!

<3
Thanks for coming along even though you didnt really know my friends!

Rud showing off :p
Last and final stop - Dinner! One of the seafood restaurant in PD

Kangkung belacan

Sweet and sour crab

Kam heong lala

Butter prawns
There are actually more pictures but its in Fleur's camera. We reached home about 10 something and gosh I was so tired! Nonetheless, I enjoyed the trip! :)
There! Finally I am done!
I am off to catch my show on tv now!
